This is not the unique version of Garmin Mobile XT for WinCE 5.0, there are several versions that may change the methods described here for installation, patching, menus, etcI chose this version because it’s the most recent (v5.00.10) and is almost whole time in fullscreen.• Insert SD card on computer. • From the downloaded file unzip Garmin folder directly into SD card. Get the serial.
• Remove the SD card from computer and insert into GPS. Up to 2Gb, if not the GPS unit doesn't detect it; hardware continues to be antique. • Click on >My device SDMMC Garmin Apps WM Que.exe and execute. • Garmin is without unlock, so will show this screen and you must select 'Connect to Garmin GPS', press 'Skip' and confirm with 'Yes'. We accept the warning of risks and we would be inside. Need For Speed 2 Se Game Full Version.
• Click on Tools; Settings; About and will show us our ID card that will write carefully. Note: If we change card, the ID will be different, well as the unlock code. If at any time ask us if we want to connect to other GPS, we'll say no. • Exit Garmin and of WinCE explorer if is running and remove the card from GPS. • Connect the card to computer and run the keygen (is within Garmin XT).
• On Enter your ID here fill the ID card, select Garmin Mobile XT and click on Generate. Will return us the unlock code that we'll copy to clipboard. • Open Notepad and paste the serial and save as SW.UNL.
In Garmin folder, be sure to save it under that name, lest may have hidden the extensions. To enhance the interface of Garmin may can do a few things.
The first is go to Start; Settings; Taskbar and Start menu and mark Autohide so hide the taskbar and when you run Garmin XT can press on the main screens (desactivate Garmin online and risks of driving with GPS) that are obligatory step to access the program. Hide the taskbar is just possible if you only run Garmin XT, and not use GPS as a PDA.
Since you can't show again, because you can't access some options. Garmin Mobile XT comes only with the base map, so it's necessary to get our appropriate updated, in my case Spain/Portugal. It would be desirable to have the Europe map, but 8Gb card is not detected. The Europe map occupies nearly 2Gb and added with base map exceeds the 2Gb of card capacity. The map you get must to call it GMAPSUPP.IMG, and if is requiered unlock code must to save it as GMAPSUPP.UNL.
And everything into the Garmin directory of SD card, as in forums advise us that GPS runs slow if we save maps in GPS memory. Automatic run. Would be helluva that bit time when you power on GPS this running with Garmin? This can be get by placing a shortcut on: ResidentFlash StartUp.
With card inserted into GPS and WinCE explorer we go to executable My device SDMMC Garmin Apps WM Que.exe, once is selected on command bar execute File; Send To; Desktop as Shortcut. This will create a shortcut on the desktop, which we copy by holding down the shortcut and selecting Copy, and in: ResidentFlash Startup hold down the screen and select Paste. Reboot and will be ready. Notes • The POIs of 'My Locations' I could not find how to save changes in a complete shutdown (or reboot) of GPS, so if need your own POIs will have to be external. These will placed in POI folder under format.GPI, accessing them with Where to; Extras.

VIDEOTUTORIAL HD. ↓ • obiwan2208 That's what I highlighted in post, in far days I saw many versions 2Gb but also occupies the base map. 😦 The result is that I'm posting maps of Spain rather than Europe. Now you brought it up I consider even the ability to remove the base map, since it's used when you zoom out much of cartography (cities, roads, etc.) like to see the track in perspective.Another is using MapSource.
Install Europe map, select maps you need and save the resulting map on card, reducing the weight map by removing maps that not will be usedis how to I updated the Spain map, is based from map of Europe 2013.40.Related post: PD. It has 8G of internal memory and I want to make sure of it I haven't done because the LN500 unit doesn't have much memory, but having changed the keys HKLMSystemExplorerShellFolder to target to ResidentFlash, you can use any ResidentFlash folder, The one that I would choose would be ResidentFlashPrograms or ResidentFlashProgram files.Remember anything placed into ResidentFlash can save the changes, outside has a behavior like a ROM, the changes will lost on complete shutdown or restart. ↓ • obiwan2208 Originally posted by Io_s_ala: If you can get a registry back-up copy from the owner of the GPS, please post it here. It would be very welcome I will, I'll contact with the owner to try if can send a copy of registry (he's at 50km) and isn't a fine knowledgeable about computers or GPSfingers crossed. Can you send me your email address to my email? It's in my MyOpera profile ('About' tab).
So I'll notify you when I've more news.PD. You'll have a deeper access by clicking on the explore button of ActiveSync than using Windows Explorer directly.

↓ • anonymous io_s_ala writes:Yes, of course I read your previous post, several times. Even saved it for later reference, just to be sure it will not vanish unexpectedly. I only made the mistake to not save the other two hives which now seem to be quite a big one. Saving the contents of Windows is not so easy. Actually a lot of files are not visible from ActiveSync and even some of them cannot be backed-up as WinCE probably opens them in exclusive mode.:-(If you can get a registry back-up copy from the owner of the GPS, please post it here.
It would be very welcome. If not, well, there is nothing to do. I will post around in some GPS forums, maybe someone can help me.Anyhow, thank you for your help and for your time taken to deal with this issue. ↓ • anonymous io_s_ala writes:Thank you very much for your quick response.I followed the exact instructions you described on this page and as I wrote, this worked once. So I am sure the description and the downloadable program are good. I also start Garmin with Que.exe, not the mostscript starter (Garmin.exe).Yesterday, I decided to repeat the whole procedure from the very beginning so after saving the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE registry hive (actually I did it just before doing the very first modification), I hard-reset the device. I read somewhere that this would copy the contents of the backup (ROM) into the working area.
Well, not exactly. The registry has been reset to default, but the contents of the ResidentFlash is not reset. I have imported the saved hive and thought everything was OK, to find out later that the two other hive must have been affected as well, which sems to be very logical now.
Even more, I managed to lose some settings in the other two hives so my SDMMC is not detected and the GPS module is not found either. It also seems that the device is slowed down as the original IGo is quite lazy.So my list of requests is being expanded now with one more item.

Beside the list of files and their sizes from the Windows directory, I would like to ask you one more favour: could you please make an export of the three hives in the registry with the registry editor and upload it somewhere? I would like to import those settings.Thank you once again for your help.
↓ • anonymous Anonymous writes:Based on your description, I uploaded Garmin XT with a minimal map on a 128MB SD Card for a 7' Chinese GPS with WinCE6. Everything worked as expected so I know the files are OK.And now the problem: I repeated the procedure for an LG LN505 on a 2GB SD card, full map. The Que starts if I double-click the link file on the Desktop or in the ResidentFlashStartUp directory, but if I switch off the GPS from the side button and then turn it on again, I get the following message: 'Cannot find 'Que' (or one of its components) Make sure the path and filename 'Do you have any clue what could be the problem?I suspect some DLL files are missing or corrupted or of different version than expected. Could you please upload a screenshot or a print-out of your Windows directory with the name of the files and their sizes so I can compare what is missing?Eventually, if possible, can you upload the contents of the Windows directory, please?Thank you very much.
↓ • obiwan2208 Originally posted by Anonymous: I've done everything that you said, but when I run the Garmin.exe it will not detect my location. I looked at the Satellite info. And there are no satellites. I disabled it and it gave me options for different types of GPS options to choose from.
How do I know which one to choose? Did you unlocked Garmin? Normally until it's not unlocked you can't use the satellites reception, but not so the rest of the features.I've not run Garmin.exe (not worked) but if Que.exe. Which are the options of GPS you talked about? If that doesn't work should talk about using scripts, PortSplitter, etc. I didn't have these problems. I was looking for info about LN500 data: TX speed, etc, but was not found nothing, the only option is try-error. ↓ • obiwan2208 Originally posted by Anonymous: Do you have by chance any detailed South Africa GARMIN maps for Garmin Mobile XT running on Windows CE 5.0 with South Africa POIs?
Thanks The maps and POIs usually will come apart especially with speedcams, albeit with cartography a there will be not certain 100% reliable, but you'll be able to pull through. I found two sites for POIs, I hope to help you, as cartography I don't know where to get her out, about my country yeah, but other maps don't know. I don't have LN500 but a Lowrance Endura with open Win CE 5.0 I have a partitioned 32GB Micro-SD card (partition 1 = original Lowrance software, partition 2 = different software (iGO, etc. Works very well) Can it be that Garmin will be the one and only software on the SD card? Thank you for your help! You've touched an important topic: the question of hardware, when units are different can have different behaviors, as well as you've got a 32GB card, the LN500 supports maximum up to 2GB (if not isn't detected). As is a different unit I can't tell if it affects the issue of partitions to Garmin. Only I can recommend you try other versions of, already patched (like this) or not (to patch later), and within these there are some variations in design, menu, etc.and maybe behavior:sherlock:, who knows? Sorry I can't help more.:worried: Me gusta.

When I fill in the generated ID (with KeyGen.1.5) in the.UNL Garmin will launch the program available in the home screen freeze. I only can switch off the device with a hard reset. What can I do? Remember that SW.UNL file must be just unlock code, nothing more. Simple Awt Java Program.
